Ambassador Zhang Xinsen visited Newgrange Passage Tomb on August 2nd at the invitation of Dr. Rory O'Hanlon, Ceann Comhairle of Dáil Éireann.

During the visit, Ambassador said the Tomb is the ancient civilization of Ireland, fully demonstrating a vivid expression of the diligence, bravery and wisdom of the Irish nation. Although Ireland is far away from China, the two civilizations share a lot of similarities. We both contributed to the civilizations of mankind and have achieved great economic success in developing the modern society.

Ambassador expressed his sincere hope at the end of his visit that the Chinese and Irish peoples would continue their efforts to make new contributions to the progress of the mankind.
