The State Council of the People's Republic of China has declared the three days from Monday, 19 May to Wednesday, 21 May as National Mourning Days for the victims in the massive earthquake of 12 May 2008.

During the above mourning days, the Chinese Embassy in Ireland will half-mast the flag and open the book of condolence from 10am to 12pm and from 2pm to 4pm at 23 Ailesbury Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4.
