Assistant Foreign Minister Zhai Jun Meets with Delegation of Seychelles National Assembly's International Affairs Committee

On June 11, 2009, Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Zhai Jun met with a delegation headed by Waven William, Chairman of Seychelles National Assembly's International Affairs Committee. The delegation is visiting China at the invitation of the NPC's Foreign Affairs Committee.

Zhai made positive comments on bilateral ties, as well as the important role played by the bilateral parliamentary exchanges in pushing forward the friendly cooperation between the two countries in all areas. He said China cherishes the friendship with Seychelles and is ready to further deepen their friendly cooperative relations.

William thanked for China's long-standing enormous assistance to the national development of Seychelles, saying that China is a reliable friend of Seychelles and the Seychelles National Assembly will continue to commit to developing bilateral traditional friendship.

Both sides also exchanged views on the economic development of their countries, as well as dealing with the international financial crisis.
