Ambassador Yue attends the "EU-China Tourism Year-The Opportunity for Ireland"

On 30th April 2018, H.E. Dr. Yue Xiaoyong, Chinese Ambassador to Ireland, addressed on “EU-China Tourism year-The Opportunity for Ireland” seminar organized by Ireland China Business Association in Cork.

In his keynote speech, Ambassador Yue gave a comprehensive briefing to the audience upon the major achievements and significant decisions of the 19th CPC Congress and the Two Sessions of the NPC and CPPCC. “We must together make economic globalization more open, inclusive, balanced and beneficial to all,” stressed the Ambassador.

The Ambassador introduced the China International Import Expo to be held in November and encouraged the Irish business to grasp the opportunities of China’s Belt and Road Initiatives as well as the first China International Import Expo.

Also Ambassador Yue expressed his views on the bilateral relations and the cooperation in tourism between China and Ireland and his speech was warmly welcomed by the audience of the seminar.

Other speakers included Ms. Susan Barrett, Chairperson of Ireland China Business Association, Mr. Fegall Dennehy, Deputy Lord Mayor of Cork.

Also present at the conference were Madam Xue He, the Commercial Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Ireland as well as about 100 representatives from Irish government and business.
