Chinese Embassy holds a CIIE Reception in Dublin

On 28 September, the Chinese Embassy in Ireland hosted a reception to celebrate the upcoming opening of the first China International Import Expo (CIIE), which will be held in Shanghai on November 5-10, 2018. The reception was attended by over 50 people representing CIIE exhibitors, visitors, official promoters and supporting Irish government agencies, including Bord Bia, Enterprise Ireland, IDA.

H.E. Ambassador Yue Xiaoyong gave an encouraging keynote speech, which was warmly received by the audience. He stressed that CIIE is a significant diplomatic move by the Chinese government. CIIE will demonstrate China's firm support to trade liberalization and economic globalization and the strong determination to open the Chinese market. It will facilitate countries and regions all over the world to strengthen trade and economic cooperation.

The reception was moderated by Madam Xue He, Commercial Counselor of Chinese Embassy in Ireland. Also present at the reception were Madam Tara McCarthy of Bord Bia, Mr. Leo McAdams of Enterprise Ireland.
