Irish Government holds a Reception to Commemorate Vótáil 100

      A Reception to Commemorate 2018 Centenary of Women's suffrage in Ireland was held in the Dublin Castle on 30th November. Commercial Counselor of Chinese Embassy Madame Xue He attended and had friendly exchanges with female representatives present at the event.

      The Taoiseach Leo Varadkar, T.D., Ms. Mary O'Rourke, former Leader of Seanad Éireann and Deputy Leader of Fianna Fáil, and Catherine Martin T.D., Deputy Leader of the Green Party addressed the Reception.

      On 14th December 1918, the first election of the House of the Oireachtas in which women had the right to vote was held in Ireland.
