2019/08/10

On 7th August, 44 members of Shanghai Poly Children's Choir visited the Embassy of China and warmly received by Ambassador He Xiangdong, his wife Ms. Xia Lining and other diplomats from the Embassy.

Ambassador He welcomed the choir and gave each visitor a badge symbolizing the friendship between China and Ireland. He wished them every success in future life and encouraged them to make more contributions to bilateral exchanges.

The choir thanked the Ambassador for his hospitality and performed I Have to Sing and Me and My Motherland. The performance was so touching that all diplomats joined the singing.

They held a warm and friendly talk after the performance. Young diplomats shared their learning and working experience and encouraged them to struggle for the ideal and realize their social value in the construction of China.

The average age of the Choir is 11 years and these young musicians attended the Edinburgh Festival Fringe before they started the musical journey in Ireland.
