Ambassador He Xiangdong Meets Culture Minister Josepha Madigan

On November 27, Ambassador He Xiangdong met with Josepha Madigan, Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht. They shared views on further strengthening the cultural exchanges between China and Ireland.

Ambassador He said that China and Ireland have got a long history of people to people exchanges and culture exchange has been playing an important and unique role in enhancing the friendship and mutual understandings between the two countries. China is willing to make every effort to deepen cultural exchanges and cooperation with Ireland.

Minister Madigan said that Chinese culture is loved by more and more Irish people and the prospects for collaboration are wide and broad. She hopes to visit China in the near future.

Olga Wang, head of Cultural Section of the Embassy, and Christine Sisk, Director of Cultural Ireland were present at the meeting.
