Ambassador Yue Attends a Business Event to Celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Sino-Irish Diplomatic Ties

On 31 January 2019, H.E. Dr. Yue Xiaoyong, Chinese Ambassador to Ireland, attended a business event at PwC Ireland to celebrate Chinese New Year and the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Ireland.

Ambassador Yue made a keynote speech, focusing on Sino-Irish Relations, the Belt and Road Initiative and the first CIIE, emphasizing that China will continue to carry out the Reform and Opening-up, to support multilateralism and to expand its import. The Ambassador encouraged both Chinese and Irish businesses to join hands to tap the tremendous potential in bilateral ties with a view to enjoying stronger friendship and greater prosperity.

Minister of Business, Enterprises and Innovation, Madam Heather Humphreys T.D., Mr. Feargal O'Rourke, Managing Partner of PwC Ireland also addressed the event.

The event was attended by nearly 100 guests from political and business representatives of both countries. Also present were Ms. Xue He, Commercial Counsellor, and section chiefs of the Chinese Embassy.
