On January 31, 2019, Ambassador Dr. Yue Xiaoyong attended the ICBA Business Party to Celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Ties between China and Ireland and delivered a Speech.

In his speech Dr. Yue congratulated the 40th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Ties between China and Ireland, and extended his greetings for the coming Chinese Spring Festival. He also appreciated the great achievements made by both sides in the past 40 years in terms of bilateral relations, including the 2 direct flight routes launched last year between China and Ireland (Beijing and Dublin, and Hong Kong and Dublin), and the 3rd direct flight route in near future (between Shenzhen and Dublin). He thanked and warmly invited Irish friends to the Second International Cooperation Forum on the “Belt and Road Initiative” and the Second CIIE.

H.E. Mr. Eoin O’Leary, Irish Ambassador to China, Mme. Susan Barrett, Mme. Caroline Devlin, Senior officials from EI, IDA, Bord Bia, Chinese Enterprises in Ireland, members of ICBA, nearly 200 people attended the party.
