Ambassador Yue Xiaoyong Visits County Tipperary

On 19 February, H.E. Dr. Yue Xiaoyong, Chinese Ambassador to Ireland visited County Tipperary and met with Cathaoirleach Cllr. Mattie Ryan and Alan Kelly T.D..

Ambassador Yue briefed on China’s development achievements and the strong momentum of local exchanges and cooperation between China and Ireland, and encouraged Tipperary County Council to take advantage of the sound development of Sino-Irish relations to further enhance its exchanges with China under the backdrop of the 40th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Ireland. Cllr. Ryan and Alan Kelly T.D. appreciated the Ambassador’s briefing and expressed their readiness to utilize Tipperary’s advantages in agricultural industries to further develop exchanges and cooperation with its Chinese counterpart.

Also present were Ms. Olga Wang, First Secretary for Cultural and Tourism issues from the Embassy, Mr. Marcus O’Connor, Director of Services and Mr. Ger Walsh, Senior Executive Officer of the County Council.
