Ambassador Yue Xiaoyong Attends the Official Opening of Institute of Big Data and Scientific Innovation between Hunan University of Commerce and Technological University Dublin

On April 1st, H.E. Dr. Yue Xiaoyong, Ambassador of China to Ireland, joined Governor Xu Dazhe of Hunan Province for the launch of the Institute of Big Data and Scientific Innovation, a collaborative partnership between Hunan University of Commerce and Technological University Dublin.

   

In his congratulatory remarks Ambassador Yue commends the institute as another achievement of cooperation between China and Ireland in higher education, one that is in line with the trend of our time and China's innovation-driven development strategy prioritized in the 2nd Session of the 13th National People's Congress held in March. He calls on higher education institutions of both countries to empower the students to address challenges confronted by humanity by joining hands with their peers across the world.

The Institute of Big Data and Scientific Innovation aims at a comprehensive and in-depth collaboration between Hunan University of Commerce and Technological University Dublin in health, environmental sustainability and financial security, where big data and technological innovation can play a crucial role in decision-making and management.

   

Prof. Chen Xiaohong, President of Hunan University of Commerce and Prof. David FitzPatrick, President of Technological University Dublin also took part in the launching ceremony.
