Ambassador Yue Xiaoyong meets with President Michael D. Higgins

On Monday, April 8, H.E. Dr. Yue Xiaoyong, Chinese Ambassador to Ireland, met with H.E. Mr. Michael D. Higgins, President of Ireland, in Áras an Uachtaráin, the Presidential House.

Ambassador Yue conveyed the birthday congratulatory letter and greetings from President Xi Jingpin to President Higgins, and thanked President Higgins for his great support for the development of China-Ireland relations.

President Higgins also extended his sincerest greeting and thanks to President Xi Jinping. He expressed the highly appreciation for Ambassador Yue's contribution to the robust momentum of China-Ireland relations. Both sides expressed their confidence that the two countries will continue to enhance bilateral friendship and cooperation in various fields in future.

Also at present were Mr. Huang He, Political Counsellor, Mme. Xue He, Commercial Counselor of the Embassy and Mr. Art O'Leary, Secretary General to President Higgins.
