On 16th April, Ambassador Yue Xiaoyong met with Mr. Li Yong, Director General of United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).

At the meeting, Director General Li Yong discussed with Ambassador Yue about UNIDO’s mandate of inclusive and sustainable industrial development, and they exchanged views on current international and regional economic situation as well as Ireland's economic policy. Also present were Madam Xue He, Commercial Counsellor of Chinese Embassy.

Mr. Li Yong, former Vice Minister of Finance of China, was elected Director General of UNIDO in July 2013. He is paying a visit to Ireland at the invitation of Mr. Simon Coveney Tánaiste and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
