Chinese Premier, Irish PM make remarks to the press


Premier Li Keqiang and Irish Prime Minister Enda Kenny jointly meet with representatives of both Irish and Chinese media organizations at Ashford Castle, Co. Mayo on the afternoon of 17 May 2005, after their bilateral talks were concluded.

Premier Li expressed appreciation for the Irish side's thoughtful arrangements and said that there was huge space for the two countries to work together.

Kenny said that Ireland was looking forward to enhancing its cooperation with China in a number of areas, including agriculture, tourism, and education.

The two leaders articulated strong confidence in the future of China-Ireland relations.
